Hand Me Downs 
RAINBOW OASISI Artist Residency

During my 2-month studio residency working with the concept of “hand me downs” or the idea of passing things on whether physical or generational. Exploring how our choices of what comes to us could either be burdens or a chance at rebirth. How the color Orange exists both as a color of nostalgia and angst. I've been subjected to these ideas of hand me downs since I recently learned of my families history with passed down health conditions but also with the shared experience of Afro-Caribbean families to pass down their items back to the homeland.
